Next week, of course, some fresh games will be released again for PS4 and PS5. In contrast to the previous week, the number of new releases fell from seven to six. You can find out exactly which titles await you in the following lines.

The Gallery (PS4)

Release: August 1, 2022

With “The Gallery” you can expect an interactive film in which you see real people. Those responsible shot over a period of six weeks from February to March 2021. The story of the title takes place in two time levels, one in 1981 and one in 2021.

In these, players can select over 150 decision paths to ultimately see one of 18 different endings. Those responsible describe their game as a mixture of social drama and ghost thriller.

Frogun (PS4, PS5)

Release: August 2, 2022

Meanwhile, fans of 3D platformers could get their money’s worth with “Frogun”. You slip into the role of the young Renata, whose parents are world-famous researchers. However, they did not want to take their daughter with them on their last expedition because they considered the Beelzebub ruins too dangerous. Three days passed, during which Renata waited for her parents to return. She is certain: something must have happened to you!

As a young adventurer, you explore varied areas and have to avoid deadly traps, solve tricky puzzles and defeat dangerous opponents. You can also discover shortcuts and secret areas. It will also be possible to compete against another player in an arena.

After Wave: Downfall (PS4, PS5)

Release: August 3, 2022

Arcade shooter friends should make a note of “After Wave: Downfall”. The creators describe their work quite simply as an adventure in which you have to master different water levels while fighting all kinds of monsters.

A total of ten levels are waiting for you to conquer – including one or two bosses. By the way, you can configure your ships according to your personal preferences and thus adapt them to your preferred playstyle.

South of the Circle (PS4, PS5)

Release: August 3, 2022

The adventure game “South of the Circle” wants to impress you emotionally with its cinematic story. The story is about the consequences of life decisions, about love and career as well as the present and the past.

The game was developed by State of Play, who were able to win some well-known actors for their work. These include Richard Goulding (“The Crown”), Anton Lesser (“Game of Thrones”) and Olivia Vinall (“The Woman in White”).

Sword and Fairy: Together Forever (PS4, PS5)

Release: August 4, 2022

Next week’s most anticipated release by many gamers is likely to be the action role-playing game Sword and Fairy: Together Forever, coming exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In it you enter a realm inspired by ancient mythology and Far Eastern aesthetics. The story is about three clans (demons, deities, humans). You command a small group in which each member has special abilities.

The game wants to inspire you with a mix of dynamic real-time combat mechanics and complete freedom of movement. With a simple push of a button, you can always switch back and forth between the characters in order to strategically use their strengths in the skirmishes. Overall, the fantasy adventure should tie you to the controller for over 30 hours (story + side quests).

GigaBash (PS4, PS5)

Release: August 5, 2022

The action game “GigaBash” once again unleashes ancient and powerful monsters that have slumbered beneath the surface of the earth for centuries. But now the Titans have awakened again and want to destroy humanity. Your goal, of course, is to stop the Kaiju.

It’s up to you whether you want to fight as a titan or face the monsters in a massive mecha suit. The title also ensures party fun, as the game supports different multiplayer modes for up to four players.
