Here’s the first look at Dr. Disrespect’s game Deaddrop

Streamer Dr Disrespect, aka Herschel Beahm, has founded the game studio Midnight Society, and a while ago we found out that their debut game could be compared to a Escape from Tarkov which takes place in a skyscraper. Now we have not only been told the name of the game, Dead dropbut also got a look at its very first “snapshot”, which was released to the players who invested in a “Founder’s Pass”.

These snapshots will be small parts of the game that are released in order to get feedback from the players and allow them to participate and influence the development. The first one includes the players hideout, an assault rifle and some shooting practice to test it in. Something that has received criticism is the game’s graphics, but keep in mind that it is very early in development and the main purpose of these snapshots is not to showcase the game, without getting feedback on game mechanics.

The game takes place during the “climate wars”, where mega-buildings called “refiner states” are set up to convert pollution into the addictive preparation “space dust”, which is then sold to the population. Various gangs now compete for control of the formerly state-owned towers and the resources inside.
