A Turkish court ordered access to be blocked to the websites of German broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) and those of US-based Voice of America (VOA) after both failed to apply for online broadcasting licences. The court’s decision came upon a request from the Turkish Broadcasting Authority (RTÜK).
