Sonic Origins: Speed ​​Strats – Check out a new Sonic CD-focused video – Nintendo Switch

Available since last week on the Nintendo Switch eShop, Sonic Origins presents itself as a remastering of the first titles of the license, brought up to date for current consoles. On the occasion of their new video chronicle Sonic Origins: Speed ​​Strats, SEGA offers us this day a video centered on sonic cd, as well as characters from Amy and Metal Sonic. • mechanism of time travel – In sonic cd, the Blue Lightning will have to travel through time to all areas in order to stop Dr. Eggman and his Badniks from capturing Little Planet. This episode reveals the panels that players can use to reach phenomenal speeds and thus travel to the past or the future. In the past, players will need to destroy Dr. Eggman’s equipment as well as Metal Sonic’s holograms in order to stop his evil plans taking place in the future.
• Special levels – Players must have collected at least 50 Rings and jump into the giant Ring in order to enter a special level. Players will no doubt be familiar with this mechanic already present in Sonic the Hedgehog 1.
• Time Stones – Similar to the Chaos Emeralds, these seven mythic stones have the power to grant their user control over time, once they are all put together. In sonic cd, players will embark on a mission to collect the seven Time Stones and thus preserve the future of Little Planet. To get the Time Stone from each special level, players must eliminate all UFOs within the time limit. The timer increases if Sonic touches water, so better avoid it!
• New features – In the improved version of sonic cd offered Sonic Origins, players can use the Whirlwind Race as well as a turbo boost to dash into a frantic race. In Anniversary Mode, Sonic can take advantage of his “vertical jump” skill, which first appeared in sonic mania. Additionally, players will be able to find Coins, the new currency of Sonic Origins. Sonic fans will also have the opportunity to slip into the skin of the two-tailed fox: Tails. Thanks to its ability to fly and swim, the exploration of areas and levels will be easier. From the point of view of history, Sonic Origins includes two new animated cinematic sequences for sonic cd. However, the original intro and ending will still be available.
