Last November, bandai namco was going out Blooming of forget-me-not (forget-me-not in Japanese), a DLCs paying for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris which followed the various free additions of content Ancient Apostles and which is also included in an expensive PremiumPass. The role play taking place in theunderworld was then only available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, which had suffered from technical problems when it was launched in the summer of 2020. And yet, the publisher announced this weekend that it will be released on Nintendo Switchhope the frame rate will hold the road.
A fairly classic trailer reminds us of the context of this game, part of the events of which retraces the anime Sword Art Online: Alicization with the fight againstAdministratorbut which then proposes an original framework diverging from SAO: Alicization – War of Underworld. The four free updates Ancient Apostles will also be included basic, but not Blooming of forget-me-not… which should be released later, as well as other free or paid additions.
Players will find Kirito in a mysterious, yet familiar virtual world, “The Underworld”, where advanced AIs might be mistaken for humans. As players take on the role of Kirito, they will relive thrilling scenes from the series through intense combat. Fan-favorite characters will cross paths with the player, including Eugeo, Alice, Administrator and many more.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet had met an identical fate and has a demo on theeShopto see if it will be the same with Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. For the moment no release date has been communicated.
But that’s not all, because recently it’s the 2nd DLCs entitled Blooming of Matricaria which was presentedsimply named Matricaria in Japan, again in reference to a flower. As the human realm prepares its forces for the final test against the Dark Territory, I’Divine Item Refactoring Golem is activated and will lead to the Hundred Days War. It also introduce a new character named Log (Where Snapeto see what the name will be in the international version), who apparently knows Kirito, Eugene and Alice since childhood… His fighting style makes him wield an ax and a shield, a new type of equipment that our characters can use to play both a role of Tank by rounding up the enemies andAttacker by exterminating them with a power based on theaggro made upstream. He can also perform quick attacks. On paper, that sounds daunting. Again, no date has been announced. You can review the presentation in Japanese below, in addition to a teaser.
