Hi all! The gaming industry is still resting and there are few events, but we still found for you a couple of fresh gaming industry news from the past week, as well as new trailers and games that are coming out next week.

What happened?

Get out of confusion

Until recently, the Novosibirsk studio Cyberia Nova was known only for two not very good news: 260 million rubles were allocated for their debut game “Trouble” from the wallet of the Internet Development Institute, and the alleged subsequent escape of the developers, as well as the closure of the site, which ultimately it turned out to be a rebranding (not very competent in terms of PR) and renaming the studio from Cyberia Limited to Cyberia Nova.

But this week, the Smuta project launched a promo site, where you can see several art, models, and even animations of the project. As conceived by the authors, “Trouble” is an action-RPG, the events of which take place in 1612 on the territory of Russia. The protagonist is the boyar Yuri Miloslavsky, who personally fights for Moscow and participates in other historical events of the Time of Troubles. Despite the historical parallels, the developers do not plan to make a reference reconstruction of the events of that time. As for the combat system, they want to make it convenient for any type of player – whether you are a pro or a beginner.

The Troubles should be released at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024. We hope that not all 260 million were spent on these pictures and animations and that Cyberia Nova will still turn out to be a decent game.

The jokes are over

Journalist Jason Schreier, after asking Rockstar Games employees, decided to share his rumors about GTA VI. According to him, the game will have two playable characters: a Hispanic man and a woman. For some reason, information about the latter was very shocking to many on the network – the reaction is strange, given that the same San Andreas, in fact, was thoroughly saturated with the life of blacks in America, and it’s normal. Initially, several large locations were planned in the game, but in the end the map was reduced to Miami and its environs, but even so, it will be somewhat larger than GTA V. After the release, the developers plan to add new missions and even cities.

But in terms of satire and humor, GTA VI will be more politically correct – however, the point here is not the fear of offending someone: the creators say that modern America has become a satire in itself and it has become more difficult to joke about it. As for the release date, it is not even approximate. The reason for this is the delayed development, both due to COVID-19, and due to restructuring after accusations of an unhealthy atmosphere and overwork within the company.

Survival with dinosaurs

Publisher Annapurna Interactive has announced a fairly simple but interesting looking game. The Lost Wild is a dinosaur survival horror game. And not in the style of the Turok game, but rather a mixture of Jurassic Park and Aliens. The main gameplay will most likely be stealth, but thanks to the crafting system in The Lost Wild, you can not only hide from dinosaurs, but also scare them away and set traps. In the process, you have to uncover the secret of the island, and survive, of course. The release date is scheduled for 2024.
