American actress Nichelle Nichols has left us. Nichelle is most likely best known to most people for playing Uhura in Star Trek. She also worked as a recruiter for NASA to attract women and minorities to the space program and for the interest organization National Space Society.
Nichelle lived to be a respectable 89 years old.
