China Consumers Association: 618 “Tucao” consumer rights protection over 5.5 million egg tree live broadcasts challenge common sense

On June 30, the China Consumers Association released the 2022 “618” consumer rights protection public opinion analysis report, using the Internet public opinion monitoring system to conduct online big data public opinion analysis on the relevant consumer rights protection from June 1 to June 20.

Judging from the data of “Tucao” in the consumer public opinion field, this year’s “618” basically continued the hot discussion scene of the same period last year.During the monitoring period, a total of 5,540,365 pieces of information on “disgusting” and “consumer rights protection” were collected, accounting for 15.9% of the total “consumer rights protection” information.

Monitoring found that during this year’s “618” promotional activities, negative consumer information mainly focused on four aspects: product quality, express delivery, price promotion, and live streaming, accounting for 14%, 10.7%, and 10.7% of the total negative sensitive information on consumer rights protection, respectively. 5.3% and 4.3%. The slot points cover multiple dimensions of online and offline, traditional just-needed and upgraded products.

During the monitoring period, a total of 237,115 pieces of negative information about “live broadcast with goods” were collected. The amount of daily negative information is relatively stable. After June 18, the amount of public opinion information began to increase, and reached a staged peak on June 20.

The emergence of the peak mainly points to the discussion of public opinion in two aspects: First, New Oriental joined the live broadcast to bring goods, and opened up a new model of goods delivery. When the popularity soared, entries such as “Oriental Selection was complained that the peach was moldy and hairy” also appeared on the hot search; The second is that live broadcasts of agricultural products that violate common sense are becoming more and more outrageous, testing the tolerance limit of consumers.

Recently, many netizens reported that there have been many live broadcasts of agricultural products that violate common sense on some platforms.Eggs can grow on trees, mangosteens grow underground like potatoes, flowers grow on tall branches and need to climb ladders to pick…

If the anchors who brought the goods hadn’t laboriously shouted that these were all “freshly picked” agricultural products, we might have wondered whether we were watching a magic movie in front of the screen.
