As unveiled a few days ago, the second wave of MK8 DX – Additional circuits pass of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe disembark this week. On the program, two cups and eight new races including two races taken from Mario Kart TOUR and others from previous episodes (see here). Little icing on the cake, this second wave will also include a race presented as 100% new: the sorbet city; a “delicious” race that should theoretically put our heads upside down thanks to antigravity, the Mario Kart 8 gimmick who had so far been absent from the new races – which had been quite disappointing. However, it should be noted, in case you missed the info, that this “unpublished” race should not remain so for very long since nintendo announced it: it will soon integrate Mario Kart TOUR. Moreover, one can wonder if, in spite of its novel side, the sorbet city is also not an adaptation of a race if not created for Mario Kart TOUR at least thought for its integration. Indeed, we note that unlike the original races of Mario Kart 8 there is not strictly speaking passages dedicated to antigravity in sorbet city. Since it’s about climbing to the top of a mountain of ice, the whole race is in antigravity – a priori without passages upside down… At least the race should not be difficult to adapt in a sense like in the other. Of course, we’ll check this once the race is available on Switch and then on mobile… In the meantime, find the announcement video for the second wave of the race below.
