On Thursday, Asus unveiled its compact Android phone, the Zenfone 9, with a 5.9-inch display. The bottom line is that the phone seems really stable and seems to do most things very well, with really good battery life despite the “small” size, good cameras and software without a lot of bloatware.

Asus launches Zenfone 9

With a compact screen of 5.9 inches

Asus has now presented its relatively compact Zenfone 9 with a 5.9-inch screen and two cameras that look like an iPhone 11 with very strong glasses. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, comes in four colors and is IP68 rated. As mentioned, the screen is 5.9 inches large, is of the AMOLED type and can display up to 120 Hz. The battery is 4300 mAh and can be charged with the phone’s 30 W charger (which seems to come with the phone). We also find LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage of up to 16 GB and 256 GB respectively. The main camera on the back is a Sony IMX766 at 50 megapixels with a 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal stabilizer. The second camera is a 12 megapixel ultra-wide angle. Asus should also have built some fun functions directly into the camera app, such as “Light trails” where you can make nice light trails. Zenfone 9 with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage costs 8499, with 256 GB storage the price goes up to 8999 kroner and if you also want 16 GB RAM the phone costs 9499 kroner. Below you can see what Dave2D thinks about the phone.
