For Switch players, Joy-Con controller drift seems to have long since become a very common thing. Back in 2019, the issue sparked a class-action lawsuit from players against Nintendo. Today, Nintendo announced that it has cooperated with Aon Japan to launch the Switch unified maintenance and warranty service “Wide Care for Nintendo Switch”, 200 yen (about 9.9 yuan) per month, and 2,000 yen (about 99 yuan) per year. It is reported that this service guarantees up to 6 repairs within a total of 100,000 yen (tax included) per year. When a natural failure, water ingress or damage occurs, the maintenance cost can be reduced by subscribing to this service. The warranty covers all Switch models released in the Japanese market, the Joy-Con (L)/(R) included with the console, and Switch accessories. It should be noted that the faulty device cannot subscribe to the service, and the Joy-Con, base, and power supply must be original. After the release of the Switch OLED version, whether the OLED version has solved the Joy-Con handle.
