Apple is expected to install last year’s A15 Bionic processor in the younger iPhone 14, leaving a brand new chip for Pro models. This information was shared in March by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, and a month later his words were confirmed by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

The rumor has since been spread by several sources, including Taiwanese firm TrendForce and recent insider ShrimpApplePro. The latter went even further and stated that the iPhone 14 will be more powerful than the iPhone 13 despite the old processor.

It is noted that buyers of the younger model of the line should expect “a slight increase in performance compared to the iPhone 13.” Allegedly, this is due to the new modem, internal device and other changes.

In addition to performance, Apple can increase the amount of memory. It is likely that all iPhone 14 models will receive at least 6 GB – 2 GB more than the iPhone 13.
