Since its release in November 2020, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla continues to welcome new content and fixes to improve the user experience.

A new game mode

As confirmed by Ubisoft, update 1.6 will be deployed from August 2 at 2 p.m. and will bring in its suitcases a brand new game mode with rogue-lite inspirations and accessible for free. Indeed, the “Forgotten Saga” mode will immerse you in the depths of Niflheim and will push you to face various attackers without any requirements or restrictions in terms of power level and equipment.

Like other such experiences, Forgotten Saga should push players to their limits. Death is an unavoidable element of the adventure here that will strike you frequently: with each death, you will return to the starting point with the possibility of improving Odin and gaining strength for the next attempt, while having increased your knowledge of the ways to overcome the challenges that await you.

Likewise, the Sigrblot Feast will be back in the game. From August 4th to 25th, you can take part in these festivities and exchange opals for exclusive rewards. To access the Sigrblot Party, you must have joined England and completed one of the first two stories (Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire) and brought the colony to at least level 2.

Many fixes deployed

In addition to these new features, the developers also wanted to deploy various patches for the main game and for the “Dawn of Ragnraok” expansion:

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Corrections made:

  • Unable to complete the Horns of Nuptials quest, Rued spawning in a dead state.
  • Reda only offers one daily contract instead of two.
  • Trial of the Crow of Anderitum’s Hideout: Fixed persistent error where Farbjoedhr key could not be retrieved if previously acquired without unlocking the door.
  • Incorrect functioning of the light completion combo attack using two spears.
  • When using Algurnir’s Danish Ax, no activation of perks and other bows and equipment.

  • Displayed blood elf eye patch visual effects in some cutscenes.
  • Selecting “Sell All Trinkets” in a Shop will also result in the sale of Trade Goods.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok

Corrections made:

  • Stuck in Alethorp’s moving light beam, preventing the riddle in the Book of Knowledge from being solved.
  • Unable to move the Stone Block in order to obtain the Dwarven Blacksmith Cloak in Svaldal.
