Apple recently retired some Beats products such as the Beats Pill+ and Beats Solo Pro. Now, the company appears to have revived its column for yet another collaboration with Devin Booker and Book Projects, with a custom Sonoran desert-inspired Beats Pill+.

In fact, the speaker was Apple’s first brand new Beats-branded product since its $3 billion acquisition of the company in 2014. The product is currently discontinued with no apparent replacement.

The Beats Pill+ originally retailed for $229, but until earlier this year, Apple sold them in stores and online for $179.95. At the time, the speaker was still available from some third-party retailers, but it has been completely removed from the Beats and Apple websites.

Beats Pill+ features a Lightning charging port and deep integration with the Beats app for iOS and Android. At the time, we reviewed it as “a solid portable speaker and a better product than the Beats Pill 2.0 it replaces.”

Although Beats does not say when they will release this special edition or how much it will cost, the brand has only revealed this on Twitter how will it look like. With a faded black and orange design, it features two “B”s with a sun in the middle.

A few months ago, Beats revived the Beats Pill+ speaker in a limited collaboration with Stüssy. The company said on its website that the product “combines the Southern California fashion house’s signature aesthetic with Beats’ rich and clear sound field.”

Over the past few weeks, Beats has announced two different collaborations for the Beats Studio Buds wireless headphones. The last one will go on sale this weekend, which you can read about here.

Will update the story as soon as we know more about this partnership with Devin Booker.
