Cesc Fàbregas, a World Cup winning midfielder with Spain in 2010, has extended his football career by joining Serie B side Como 1907, the northern Italian club said Monday. Several fans welcomed the 35-year-old to the team stadium upon his arrival. Fàbregas was last at Ligue 1 side Monaco where he struggled for playing time but was previously one of the best players of his generation.
