Apple on Monday opened the call for applications for the next Entrepreneur Camp. This online event brings developers together with founders as well as other developers of app-driven organizations that are part of underrepresented groups such as women, blacks, and people of Hispanic descent.
As described by the company on its website, the Apple Entrepreneur Camp aims to encourage more people to “build cutting-edge next-generation apps” by connecting them with entrepreneurs. The first event was held in March this year with the participation of leaders and developers from the US, Brazil, Guatemala and Portugal.
Apple Entrepreneur Camp supports the underrepresented founders and developers of app organizations as they build cutting-edge next-generation apps and helps build a global network that rewards the pipeline and longevity of these technology entrepreneurs.
This year’s Entrepreneur Camp will take place in October 2022, but applications are already open. Developers can join labs with female, black, or Hispanic/Latino founders. Attendees will have access to mentoring and code-level guidance from Apple engineers, and will be able to interact with invited leaders.
At the end of the lab, developers will also receive feedback and have a chance to win a free annual membership to the Apple Developer Program, which developers need to submit their apps to the App Store.
At the heart of Apple Entrepreneur Camp is an intensive technology lab where you’ll work one-on-one with Apple experts and engineers to dramatically speed up your application. You’ll also hear from Apple executives and build relationships with other members. Upon completion of the lab, you’ll share your progress, get feedback, and interact with some of Apple’s most senior executives.
More information about the apps can be found on the official Apple Entrepreneur Camp webpage. Applications for participation in the next edition of the event ends on August 24, 2022.
