Valorant’s voice chat monitoring: Beta launch after test run
While voice chat will be closely monitored within Valorant games starting next month, its adequacy has not yet been assessed. Riot also announced that they would only like to run the upcoming test phase in North America and in English. The main aim is to train their language models and get the technology ready for a beta launch later this year.
Only when the technology behind the voice evaluation system is mature enough will the beta be officially launched. Reports on disruptive behavior are thus evaluated after each match. The developers also let it shine through that not everything will work smoothly. “But the promise of a safe and more inclusive environment for anyone who chooses to gamble is worth it,” the blog unerringly writes.
Although there is no concrete roadmap for voice chat monitoring by Riot Games, the developer hinted in the course of the blog post that the method could be used not only in Valorant, but also in other titles such as League of Legends. could apply in the future.
