Whether Cyberpunk 2077 left you speechless and ultimately did not affect your breathing, Netflix series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners might fix it. The latter has just offered herself a very first trailer whose images, at the very least explosive, cannot be depreciated.

Studio Trigger at the controls (Kill la Kill, Promare, Star Wars: Visions…), Cyberpunk: Edge Runners tells us a story in 10 episodes, that of David, a “street kid” for whom the cruel Night City did not make a gift. In order to stay alive and earn his place in the cybercity, he becomes a mercenary, also called “Edgerunner”.

The animated adaptation (spin-off) of ugly duckling from CD Project Red seems set to offer a second chance to a universe that is just waiting to be explored. Although we can not yet comment on the script component, the very pronounced style of Studio Trigger promises a nice visual spectacle. And for good reason, we find Director Hiroyuki Imaishithe man who notably piloted kill the kill and more recently Promare. Other big names in Japanese animation are also in the game, including Masahiko Otsuka (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann…), Hiromi Wakabayashi (Star Wars: Visions, Kill la Kill…) or Yuto Kaneko (Mob Psycho 100, Medaka Box…).

A great team behind a project that we can’t wait to discover. If the precise release date remains to be communicated to us, Cyberpunk: Edge Runners lands on Netflix in September.
