Especially last year, fans of the “Madden NFL” series had to deal with numerous bugs and technical problems. As Electronic Arts assured, the developers have learned from last year’s mixed launch and will release “Madden NFL 23” in a much better condition.
With “Madden NFL 23”, which will be released this month for the PlayStation consoles, among other things, the series, which has been extremely successful especially in North America, is entering its next round.
Fans of the series will no doubt think back to Madden NFL 22 with some uneasiness, having struggled with numerous bugs and technical problems over the past year. Bugs ranged from faulty menus to being able to kick the ball wide for a touchdown.
Mistakes that could of course quickly spoil the fun of the game. As Electronic Arts assured in the current annual report, the developers have learned lessons from this scenario and would like to publish “Madden NFL 23” in a version that is as error-free as possible.
Developers are confident
“We’re very confident that our game for Madden 23 will be the most polished version of Madden we’ve had in a long time,” said Madden Senior Producer Clint Oldenburg in an interview with IGN. “What I’m not going to say is that it’s going to be perfect. But I will say that the team still strives to achieve perfection. As hard as that may be. That is our goal.”
“Final polish is our top priority, and we know we can’t achieve our goals if our players believe our game is a flawed experience.” We will soon find out to what extent the developers of EA Tiburon will be able to put their project into practice.
