miHoYo today announced version 2.8 of “Genshin Impact”. Find out now what exactly you can expect and when the time will come.

New versions of the anime role-playing game “Genshin Impact” appear at regular intervals. Each time, this makes all sorts of new content available to keep players entertained and continue the story.

Now version 2.8 is just around the corner. On the PlayStationBlog announced the technical director: On July 13th, the players can claim the new version update. At the same time, he gave an outlook on the content to be added.

Various events and more

Like last summer you can take part in the event “Summertime Odyssey” take part. You will experience new stories and encounter unknown landscapes. You can earn numerous rewards, including a number of treasure chests. There is also a chance to get four-star character Fischl including his latest outfit.



Are you visiting this summer?Golden Apple Archipelago“You have a lot to explore. The development team has redesigned every single island, which is why you will come across new puzzles, among other things.

Depending on the season, you will be allowed to sail – either alone or with friends. The co-op eventreminiscent regimes‘ brings with it three game modes in which you need teammates. Otherwise, you face a speedrun challenge with the Waverider.

There are other events: In the context of “Resonating Visions“ you can collect exclusive shells on the beaches. Once you have reached a certain number, you can exchange them for Fischl’s new outfit.

Then a few characters you will meet in version 2.8:

  • Diluc
  • Kaedehara Kazuha
  • Shikanoin Heizou (a new playable character)

Heizou is a young detective from the Tenryou Commission. His abilities are especially useful when solving crimes. This is the first melee catalyst user. You will learn more about him in the hangout event.
