Now Samsung’s customers in the US can make their own repairs to Samsung’s Galaxy S20 and S21 series as well as to the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus.

Along with repair site Ifixit, Samsungs offers program for own repairs both free repair manuals as well as spare parts such as screens, glass backs and charging ports for sale

– Samsung continues to offer more convenient options for consumers to extend the use of their devices, strengthen a circular economy and minimize electrical waste. Samsung’s self-repairs are another way for customers to extend the life of their devices before they are recycled, Samsung Electronic America’s vice president of customer service Mark Williams said in a press release.

– Making spare parts available is a very important sustainability strategy. We are excited to work directly with Samsung and their customers to extend the life of their mobiles, says Ifixit CEO and co-founder, Kyle Wiens, in the same press release.

Samsung’s plan is to expand the program to more devices and repair types in the future.
