PHILADELPHIA — Alex Morgan hasn’t forgotten what it was like the last time the U.S. women’s soccer team played a major Concacaf competition outside of the United States. It was in 2010 in Cancún, Mexico, and the Americans were beaten by the hosts in the semifinals. That forced Morgan and company to win the third-place game against Costa Rica, then face Italy in a home-and-away playoff for the last ticket to Germany 2011.
