Well normally, I’m not sure we would have talked about it, but since it’s summer and not much is going on, and since the Steam Survival Fest is in full swing, we’ll do an exception. Retreat To Enen is therefore a single player survival game released yesterday on Gaben’s platformand developed by Head West studio, known for nothing else a priori.
The action takes place in the year 3600, and humanity has survived in extremis climate change, 36 wars between the United States and China, 72 pandemics, and the deployment of 7G. Yoga, meditation and lithotherapy are now particularly fashionable, and therefore everyone reaching adulthood must learn to become one with Nature on the island of Enen. And basically, you’re going to have to do like in all the survival games on the market: collect highlighted plants, drink stale water, cut down trees, break stones by the thousands and hunt stupid animals like bricks. The only slightly original thing seen in the launch trailer, it is the presence of domes, since after all, it is the future. But hey, if forest mediation and uninspired survival games are your thing, Retreat To Enen is available for around twenty euros on Steam or theEGS.
