AMD has now confirmed that we will see the Ryzen 7000 series of processors based on five nanometers as well as the new platform AM5 launched in the current quarter.
We have already known that AMD will launch the next generation of Ryzen processors and its new processor socket AM5 together with completely new control circuits before the turn of the year. Now AMD’s CEO Dr. Lisa Su confirmed that the launch will take place in the very near future.
During the company’s latest quarterly report, Su mentioned that AMD is on schedule to launch its new products in the current quarter. This would then mean that we will see the Ryzen 7000 series of processors and the new motherboards before the end of September.
Later this week, AMD will also hold the next Meet the Experts webinars. Here, partner manufacturers such as Asus, Gigabyte and MSI will showcase upcoming AM5-based motherboards. Hopefully we will get detailed information about what the upcoming platform will offer and what the various manufacturers have in store.
In addition to processors and motherboards, Su also confirmed that their upcoming Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards have not encountered any unexpected delays. Here we don’t have a directly nailed down launch window yet, but according to the CEO, the graphics cards will be launched before the turn of the year.
