With the deployment of its weekly patch, Black Desert kicks off its summer entertainment. In the lot, the Pearl Abyss studio imagines a good-natured PvP mode opposing two teams of 30 players (Otters and Papus).
We remember that in its time, the studio Pearl Abyss imagined the fashion Shadow Arena in the universe of Black Desert Online, in which a few dozen players competed in a large arena. The game mode had not met with the expected success (even after becoming an independent title, which will definitely close its doors in a few days), but the same Pearl Abyss nevertheless takes advantage of the summer period to deploy a new mode pvp in the universe of his action MMO.
But this time, the PvP mode is taken much less seriously. baptized Storming the sandcastle, the mode opposes two teams of 30 players composed on the one hand of Papus, on the other of Otters. At the start of the game, a role is assigned to each player (Warrior, Sorcerer or Healer each having a basic attack and a special attack), before the kick-off of a merciless fight to the death (a death match). For each member of the opposing team eliminated, the winner earns points – up to the number of points the loser had accumulated.
At the end of a ten-minute confrontation, the team with the most points (and therefore victims) wins, with its share of rewards – including battle seals, which can be exchanged for in-game items.
The mode Storming the sandcastle is available in game from today and will remain playable until August 24th. For players who are not very keen on PvP (even a good child), Pearl Abyss imagines various other events to animate the universe of Black Desert this summer – mini-games, auctions or even the must-have cosmetic beachwear in the shop, details of which are available on the official website.
