Behavior Interactive, the studio behind Dead by Daylight, has announced its next project, Meet Your Maker. The first trailer now offers a foretaste of the title.
The new game is said to be a first-person building and raiding game. Particularly interesting: Each individual level should be created by players whose task it is then to haunt the designed worlds of other players. The Meet Your Maker trailer gives us a glimpse of what it might all look like in the end.
Meet Your Maker: What we can imagine under the title
The name of the game makes sense given the goal we’re pursuing in Meet Your Maker: we first design “tangled, labyrinthine outposts filled with traps and sentries,” then gear up for “methodological, fast-paced combat” and “the raiding the creations of others”, the developers themselves describe it in somewhat more detail. This makes Meet Your Maker particularly interesting for the community, which Behavior Interactive says will be the driving force behind the game.
In the finest Minecraft manner, we have a number of blocks, traps and patrols to choose from for the construction of our outpost, which we can oppose to the hostile invaders of our world. We completely determine for ourselves how our maze of defense mechanisms should be structured. We should soon be able to lend a hand for the first time, because a playtest is already planned for August 23rd.
