A new virus for the Android OS is spreading on the network, which forcibly transfers the smartphone to the mobile Internet. This is reported by the profile resource anti-malware.ru.

According to the source, experts from Microsoft were the first to pay attention to this malware. It attracted their attention with a rather strange behavior: after getting onto the device, the Trojan forcibly turns off the Wi-Fi connection and transfers the user to the mobile Internet even without his knowledge. The user will be very surprised to find that the smartphone lives its own life and consumes mobile traffic with an available Wi-Fi network.

It turned out that he was doing it for a reason. The purpose of the new virus is to connect paid subscriptions to the victim by sending special commands via the WAP protocol. But the problem is that these commands do not work when connected to Wi-Fi, so the malware first transfers the smartphone to the mobile Internet, and then does what it was created for.

Since the explicit consent of the client is often required to confirm the subscription, the virus intercepts incoming requests and responds to them on its own. The user learns about the connection only when he sees a huge bill for mobile communications.
