Here are the 5 games we’re most looking forward to in the next 4 months. The end of the year is going to be fun.
Summer is already almost over, and autumn is showing us the tip of its nose. We only have a handful of months left before we repack 2022. If the first half of the year was particularly rich in video game releases (Horizon Forbidden West, Elden Ring, Gran Turismo 7, Nintendo Switch Sports, Mario Strikers Battle League, etc), the end of the year is not exempt.
This is therefore the perfect opportunity to take stock of the next video game releases, and to reveal to you the 5 productions that we are most expecting from the editorial staff of the Geek Diary.
Steelrising
Put on your Phrygian caps, Steelrising will take you back to the French Revolution in a game that reinvents history with great strokes of fantasy and technology. What if Louis XVI had had an army of killer robots at his side during this period? This is exactly the situation that unfolds in this adventure game, which already promises us aesthetics with small onions and explosive gameplay. See you on September 8 to discover it on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
Pokemon Purple and Scarlet
After Pokemon Legends: Arceusreleased at the beginning of the year, it is at all Purple and Scarlet to make their entrance. With these two opuses, we are back on (almost) old-fashioned Pokémon gameplay, with the exception of the 3D open world which has been new to it since this year. You will then be able to discover new legendary Pokémon… which have the ability to transform into a motorcycle or even a plane. Even better than a Transformer! Pokemon Purple and Scarlet will be available from November 18 on Nintendo Switch.
A Plague Tale Requiem
The French adventure game A Plague Tale: Innocence there is finally a sequel and we are eagerly awaiting it after the outcome of the first opus. Amicia and Hugo still have a long way to go and secrets to uncover to unravel the mysteries of the young boy’s powers. If their relationship as brother and sister will once again be at the heart of the plot, we also and above all expect a good dose of Black Death, Inquisition and gloomy atmosphere to complete the adventure. To discover October 18 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Pre-Order A Plague Tale Requiem
God of War Ragnarok
This is surely the game of the end of the year that we are waiting for with the most impatience. The rest of the adventures of Kratos and Atreus will lead them to Ragnarök, which they will probably try to prevent. Nevertheless, they will encounter many obstacles in their path, starting with the Nordic gods and demi-gods who frankly resent the intrusion of the Greek god of war into their kingdom. For this one it is on PS4 and PS5 that it happens from November 9.
Hogwarts Legacy
We end with a game that is both highly anticipated and very controversial, due to the controversies surrounding creator JK Rowling. Hogwarts Legacy takes you a century before the birth of Harry Potter, to a magnificent Hogwarts filled with secrets. As a wizard, you will have to fight the evil forces that lurk around and within the castle with your powers and your recklessness. The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch at an unknown date, probably around the end of the year holidays.
