Krafton today announced the upcoming launch of the new version 19.1 of the battle royale hit PUBG: Battlegrounds. New equipment and more await you in the major content update.
Evergreen PUBG: Battlegrounds will soon be getting fresh content again. The version 19.1 update brings back the 1×1 map Haven, merges the game with Assassin’s Creed in a cross-over action, and offers fresh gear and a new vehicle.
The new version 19.1 should therefore start on August 10th on the PC before the console versions of the action hit are served on August 18th. Once you have downloaded the new version, you will be able to try out the new weapon MP9. There’s also the Pillar Security Car, the Blue Chip Detector for scanning enemies as tactical gear, and the new “Folded Shield”.
Abstergo Industries from Assassin’s Creed will be featured on the Haven map. They have taken over one of the main buildings on the map – including a hidden Animus machine. As you play, you can also earn themed cosmetic rewards from the Ubisoft line, including costumes, bag skins, a parachute skin, and more.
The most important innovations in Versino 19.1 at a glance:
New Items
-
MP9: Available on the Deston map, the MP9 is the first fully automatic SMG to use the widely available and practical 9mm ammunition. It’s suitable for players who like guns like the P90 but prefer something more portable with lots of ammo. Although it has a slightly lower effective range, rate of fire, and damage than the P90, it’s an excellent alternative for players who want more options similar to the P90.
-
Folded Shield: Running into enemies and not having proper cover has been a problem for many Battlegrounds players for years. Therefore, there will be a new item in 19.1 that fixes this very issue. Found on every map, the folded shield allows players mobile cover that can be easily carried, deployed, and hidden at will. The shield has a strength of 1500 hp and must be destroyed by enemies before the player behind it can be hit.
-
Blue chip detector: This new tactical gear utilizes the player’s primary weapon slot and allows them to search for enemies within 100 meters of their character. The 12 closest opponents are shown as dots on the map. Their position is adjusted every time the screen refreshes, and the detector only plays sounds audible to the user when it detects enemy movement. The Blue Chip Detector even detects elevation changes, letting the player know if the tracked target is above or below them.
-
New Vehicle – Pillar Security Car: With a top speed of 130 km/h and controllable headlights and sirens, this new vehicle allows players to recreate fast-paced movie chase scenes on the Deston map. In addition, one can find high-quality equipment in the trunk of the vehicle. So if players see a Pillar Security Car nearby, be sure to get in to get a bonus.
- Additionally, Update 19.1 introduces adjustments to item spawn rate on Sanhok, bug fixes when switching bots from water to land, improvements to base and AI training, and the new Season 19 rankings and Survivor Pass.
