IT House July 3 news, Google Chrome browser currently supports full-page translation of web pages, but does not support the translation function of excerpts, and even many Chromium-based browsers have this function.

According to users on the Chrome subreddit, the UI of the “partial translation” function has appeared in the Google Chrome Canary version. When the user selects some text, then right-clicks and selects “Translate to a language” in the menu,A popup will appear showing the translation.

Users can also tap the three-dot menu to switch the target language, or to change the translation by pointing out that the original language is incorrect.

IT Home has learned that Microsoft Edge browser has had this feature before, but the implementation is not the same. The Edge browser is also translated by right-clicking after selection.However, it will directly replace the original text content.

It is not clear when this feature of Chrome will be officially launched. Which way do you guys think is better?
