IT House reported on July 4 that Microsoft is developing a new OneDrive client for Windows 11 from scratch, and Microsoft just accidentally leaked this new OneDrive client last weekend.

Not surprisingly, this new OneDrive client will be integrated in Windows 11 22H2 and will be part of Windows Search and even File Explorer.

Microsoft already has standalone clients for Android and iOS, and even Windows has a taskbar-based OneDrive client that lets you manage syncing files, uploading files, and more.

However, Windows 11 does not yet have a mature OneDrive client, so some users complain that Microsoft’s development is too slow.

Now, there’s a new OneDrive client on Microsoft’s website that fits Windows 11’s new WinUI design and looks a lot like the Settings app.

As shown in the image above, Win11’s new OneDrive app offers a new navigation bar, and the overall interface has been completely reworked. Unfortunately, at present, the new version of OneDrive does not have any new features, but the functions that already exist, such as personalized sync settings, notifications, etc., are still retained.

It is worth noting that the new version of the OneDrive application is undergoing public preview testing, and the leaked version cannot guarantee the stability at present, so it is not available for download for the time being.
