Amazon’s streaming service launched today on Samsung’s 2022 smart TVs and monitors. Luna will be part of the Samsung Gaming Hub, which already includes services such as Google Stadia, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Nvidia GeForce Now. The Korean company launched the Gaming Hub at the end of June, and the Xbox TV app has become exclusive to Samsung smart TVs and monitors.

The launch of Amazon Luna means that Samsung now has all the popular cloud game streaming services on its latest smart TVs and monitors.

“With the addition of Amazon Luna, we’re bringing over 1,000 games to play instantly on Samsung Smart TVs, making Gaming Hub the number one place for game streaming,” said Mike Lucero, director of product management for games at Samsung.

Amazon Luna was officially launched in the US earlier this year. Unlike Stadia or GeForce Now, Amazon Luna subscribers pay monthly for access to various game bundles (channels, as Amazon calls them). There are various channels starting at $4.99 per month, as well as a rotating selection of free games on the Prime Gaming channel.

Amazon Luna features over 250 games and is also available on PC, Mac, Chromebook, TV and Fire TV tablets, as well as iOS and Android. With the help of Samsung technologies, users will be able to support any Bluetooth controller or the Luna gamepad directly.

Amazon Luna is now available on the Samsung Gaming Hub, and users can link their profiles to the service to start streaming games to their smart TVs or monitors.
