MySmartPrice has shared the first CAD renderings of the upcoming 10th generation Apple iPad, due out this fall.

According to renders from one of the case makers, the alleged 10th generation iPad is finally getting a design similar to the new iPad mini and iPad Air, with flat edges and four speaker cutouts.

The source also claims that the novelty will be equipped with a larger display, a USB-C port, an A14 Bionic chip and an optional 5G modem.

The renders also suggest that the 10th generation iPad will retain the familiar Home button with Touch ID scanner, thick bezels around the display, and a single camera and flash unit on the back.

Based on CAD drawings, the 10th generation iPad measures 248.62mm (height) x 179.50mm (width) x 6.98mm (thickness). Thus, the novelty will be slightly wider, but thinner than the 9th generation iPad.

Most likely, Apple will raise prices for the base models of the iPad due to the redesign. To what extent these renders turn out to be true, we will find out at one of the company’s autumn presentations.
