German lawmakers have agreed on a regulation that will allow gas companies to pass on higher prices to customers, after the government stepped in to bail out a supplier earlier this year. Thursday’s agreement by the Cabinet was accompanied by a demand by Economics and Climate Minister Robert Habeck that relief be provided for consumers as prices rise.
