How to repair your boat in Sea of Thieves?
So if you want more than just patching it up with a few planks of wood, you need to take your ship to an outpost. Head to the carpenter, who is the first NPC when you dock, and start the conversation. A new option, the fourth, allows you to restore your ship, if it has suffered damage along the way. By clicking on this option, your contact person will offer you to repair your ship, at a price that varies according to the damage he has had. So, if it only has a few scratches, the price to pay will not be huge. If however you have chained the accidents, that your masts and your capstan are also touched, it will be necessary to spend much more gold.
In restoring your ship, you will get it back as new. However, be careful, since the feature cannot be used extensively. As we read, there is a delay between several repairs. It will therefore be necessary to be cautious, or agree to sail at the helm of a damaged ship.
