Creation of the developer Alkemi, forest has just offered a new trailer, revealing its release date. It will therefore be possible to discover this interactive story played with cards from September 15, 2022 on Nintendo Switch and PC.
Do you know the story of forest ? It is said that the independent developer Alkemiin partnership with Dear Villagerdeveloped a whole new way to tell an interactive story… with maps ! In foreststorytelling and experimentation intertwine with card game mechanics to create a whole new type of card game where what happens next is entirely up to you!
Our story begins a long time ago in a kingdom, where an avian thief Volepain and his friend were charged to steal a magic lyre. They managed to outsmart the guards with an ace up their sleeve. And by “as” I mean some sand from their pockets. Thing is, it worked, and our heroes were able to grab the lyre undetected. Unfortunately, no sooner had they got their hands on the lyre than Volepain began to have terrifying visions of the end of the world!
To fight this catastrophic prophecyVolepain knew he had to bring together a team of heroes ready to do anything to help him in his quest. His potential allies included the tiger archer Leo, the gorilla Karst, the elephant Isabeau, and the parrot Pattenbois, among other eccentric allies. He knew that each member of the group had own strengths and weaknesses that would need to be deployed strategically to succeed in their quest.
Of course, Volepain and his friends have need your help to guide them on their journey. Choose to approach a scenario using stealth, crafting a trick, making a trade, or engaging in good old fashioned brawls. If you play your cards right, Volepain and his ragtag squad could avoid a terrible fate!
