Apple announcedthat the new MacBook Air with M2 processor will go on sale on July 15th. Pre-orders will be available from the day after tomorrow, that is, from Friday 8 July 2022.

Apple introduced the MacBook Air M2, equipped with the latest version of its own processor, back in early June. However, from the beginning it was reported that the availability of devices can be expected no earlier than July. Apple adheres to this forecast, announcing the start of sales.

The completely redesigned MacBook Air now features a slightly larger 13.6-inch screen than its predecessor, a Retina display, a built-in 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and a new quad-speaker audio system. Apple also introduced a new color scheme.

Under the hood of the new MacBook Air is an M2 processor with an 8-core or 10-core GPU. Apple says the laptop has a maximum battery life of up to 18 hours, and it again features a MagSafe port in addition to other USB-C charging options.

A new 35-watt dual-port power supply is included in the box. You can use an optional 67-watt power adapter to take advantage of the device’s new fast charging feature. Your MacBook Air battery can be half charged in just 30 minutes.

The new MacBook Air will be available to order starting Friday in the base version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage for $1,499. A more powerful model with a 10-core GPU and a 512GB SSD will cost $1,849.
