Are you wondering when the next update for Battlefield 2042 will come? Then we have good news because DICE has announced it for tomorrow!
EA and the responsible developers have that Battlefield 2042 update 1.1 finished and will publish it tomorrow, July 6th, 2022.
There will be a lot of adjustments in the game, the gameplay adjustments relate to the weapons, vehicles, maps and specialists. There will also be new XP events for pilot kills and much more.
In order to roll out the update to all platforms, there will also be a new client patch, PlayStation Update 1.13. Unfortunately, we do not know the versions of the other platforms.

New
- New XP events for pilot kills, mine defusing and repairs
- Various changes to vehicle balancing, such as reducing the power of the MV38 Condor’s 50mm gun
- Rebalanced the DMR to increase combat utility at long range
- Battlefield Portal will receive new play areas and vehicles, as well as options for modifiers and the rules editor to further encourage custom mode creation
General
- In the main menu you will find a new widget that shows how many friends are currently online. In addition, you can now see the number of online friends directly in the social register.
- The voice chat options now show which device is used for voice input
- Fixed some issues with controllers not providing input when launching the game
- Fixed the issue where you could get stuck on the “Party Leadership Choose Game” screen in the lobby.
- When using an alternate controller configuration, “Unassigned” or “Unset” will no longer appear in menus
- The Social Menu now has a Party Leadership icon
- Camera settings for vehicle third-person field of view now apply immediately without having to cycle through camera options again
- “Change squad” in a party now automatically sets the VoIP setting to party
- The kill log sometimes did not show all kills when the “Show kills” setting was set to ALL. All kills are now displayed correctly.
- Weapon charms are now always visible on weapons when scrolling through the menu
- Bonus missions now correctly indicate when they expire
- The visual for Battle Pass end-of-round rewards is no longer missing after playing a Portal match
- The zoom button now works correctly when previewing talismans in the catalog
- Zooming in and out now works more smoothly in preview menus
- Fixed overlapping icons on tags for downed players
- Completed challenges where the reward has not been awarded will now grant it retroactively
- Added more new XP events:
- New Pilot Kill Bonus Event – is triggered when you eliminate the pilot of an aircraft as a sniper
- New Mine Defusing Event – triggered when defusing an enemy PA mine through interaction
- Repair Assist – triggered when someone in a vehicle that you recently repaired uses that vehicle to eliminate an opponent
- Spotting Assists are now only 10 XP
- The selection of “players in the game” is now more consistent
- Player icons and health bars now update faster when their status changes
- Various changes to make the overall camera experience smoother
- The Kill map has received some improvements:
- The list of nearby or approaching recipients is now displayed on the kill map with information about the killer
- If no assists are involved in a kill, no assist will appear on the kill card
- There is now an animation when the kill map is shown on screen, hidden or skipped
