We mentioned it at the end of July with a short teaser video for the Nargacuga Selenite, the first major update of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak fast approaching. Capcom promised us the month of August, and it seems that this promise will come true very soon, since a new Digital Event is planned for August 9 at 4 p.m., French time. As is often the case with these presentations, we can expect to be able to enjoy the update directly in the evening or the next day. In any case, no time to breathe after Xenoblade Chronicles 3 which our test is coming very soon.

As a reminder, this first wave of content after the release of the expansion on June 30 should add at least two known variants of monsters already present: the Nargacuga Selenite as well as the Bazelgeuse Vulcan. The wording used on the roadmap, however, casts doubt on other possible creatures that would come to join the hunt. Anyway, we will have the end of the story in four days, maybe five if there are still some surprises preserved by the trailers for release the day after the Digital Event. For all practical purposes, remember thatyou will have to reach Master Rank 10 to be able to face the new creatures. In other words, you must have completed the main story and completed the Urgent Quest available at the level in question. Also remember that to download the update on the day of its release (which we hope will be that of the Digital Event), you will of course have to have purchased the extension but also connect your console to the internet. If it does not download automatically on D-Day, press + having selected the software from the console’s HOME menu. In the new menu that then appears, select “Check for updates” then the option “Check by internet”.
