A 30-year-old man was shot on Van Nostrand Avenue in Jersey City late Monday night, authorities said. The man was located in front of 127 Van Nostrand Ave., near Rutgers Avenue, at 11:10 p.m., city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. The man was taken to a local hospital and treated for wounds to his left thigh and left knee that were not considered life-threatening. The man was uncooperative with the investigation, which is ongoing.
