As impressive as Oribos looks in the shadow lands of WoW, it offers so little soul in the eyes of all kinds of players. Will it be the same in WoW: Dragonflight? Possibly not, as fan feedback on the new capital city in the Dragon Island zone of Thaldraszus has been positive after a first look.
Let’s check out the recent WoW capitals! After Warlords of Draenor, which actually had absolutely nothing to offer that could be called a capital city, Legion came back with Dalaran. In Battle for Azeroth, the heroes of the Horde lived their heroic lives in Dazar’alor, while the warriors of the Alliance made their home in Boralus – both cities worthy of the city name and city pride. And then came Oribos. Oribos…
Despite the impressive architecture and the picturesque skybox, very few WoW players got it (buy now ): Shadowlands something of a sense of home. This was mainly due to Oribos’ clinical atmosphere, for many WoW fans the background music also plays a major role. Looking at the comments below the official Dragonflight Capital Valdrakken post, one might think that Oribos would ironically be the most soulless place in all of Azeroth and beyond. Will it be the same with Valdrakken? The first pictures in the gallery give you a first glimpse.

Valdrakken, Jewel of Thaldraszus
Located in the heart of the Dragonflight territory of Thaldraszu, Valdrakken is a shining example of what the dragonflights can create when they work together. In the city there are of course the following services: bank, black market auction house, PvP trader, auction house, crafting stations, profession trainers, void storage, transmogrifiers, barbers, portals to Orgrimmar and Stormwind City and, logo, quests.
The seat of the Aspects with the portals to Orgrimmar and Stormwind is found in the heart of Valdrakken, and around it the dragonflights have carved their own realms. Important for the crafters, and hopefully not too far from the bank, is the trade center of the crafting consortium with all crafting stations and the possibility to place crafting orders. Also in the center of the city is the inn “Zum rösteten Geißbock”, where you can stop off after work.
