Valve continues to build functions in Steam and now they have built into their beta client official support for Nintendo’s Joy-Con controllers. They will work both in tandem and individually, just like on the Nintendo Switch. The Pro controller has worked since 2018, but now support for Joy-Cons is also added.

Last month, support was built in for the Switch classic controllers intended for the NES, SNES, N64 and Mega Drive. Support for these should have been further improved in the latest beta update.

Now it’s not surprising that Valve wants to build in support for various controllers, but the Joy-Cons in particular are a bit odd and may not be the first controllers you think of when you want to play your PC games.

Will you Switch up in Steam?
