A pedestrian was killed Monday night when he was struck by a vehicle in Atlantic County. A Fiat 500L was traveling east on Route 322/Black Horse Pike in Folsom around 10:15 p.m. when the compact car hit Robert McClernan, 60, of Mays Landing, as he entered the roadway, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman. McClernan died of his injuries, police confirmed. The driver, who was not injured, stopped and remained at the scene to speak with troopers, according to police.
