Anyone looking for a low-noise housing with RGB lighting at a fair price will find what they are looking for in the Sharkoon TG5 RGB Silent PCGH Edition. The PCGH edition uses completely different fans than the standard version. These bear the name Shark Blades and now only run at 800 revolutions per minute, even at full speed. A total of four 120 mm fans are installed. With compatible mainboards (pin assignment of 5V-D-Coded-G or 5V-DG), the LEDs of the fans can be controlled via software. There is also a button on the top of the housing that you can use to manually select from 20 pre-installed lighting effects without any software.
The top of the case is now made of one piece, so there is no longer a removable dust grille and the case now offers better noise insulation, especially since the inside of the top of the case was also covered with an insulating mat. Furthermore, the steel side part was also provided with an insulating mat. The other side panel is made of hardened glass and offers a clear view of the built-in PC components. Incidentally, graphics cards with a length of up to 40 centimeters can be installed. The hardened front pane allows a view of the RGB fans. The scope of delivery also includes a metal PCGH logo, but it is up to you whether and where you stick this on. If you don’t value RGB fans, you can still use the slightly cheaper Sharkoon M25 PCGH Edition.
Features of the PCGH Edition at a glance:
• Housing top completely closed and without removable grille
• Housing top covered with insulation mat
• Steel side panel covered with insulating mat
• Fan: Shark Blades RGB fan with 800 rpm at 12 volts
• Metal PCGH logo included as an accessory and not glued on
