Earlier this week, we were telling you about old interface concepts that never saw the light of day for Halo 5 Guardians and Halo Infinite, but today it’s an unusual leak that catches our attention: that of two different trailers for Halo Infinite have never been shown to the general public.

A cutscene and gameplay trailer from 2018

It was user @Mr_Rebs_ who shared these new discoveries via Twitter, giving some details on each trailer in question. It should be noted, however, that he only shared his recent discoveries concerning Halo Infinite, all from the personal books and portfolios of the developers.

The first allows us to discover a cinematic trailer made 6 years before the creation of the story of Halo Infinite. This never-before-seen trailer was meant to show the events taking place between Halo 5 and Halo Infinite in order to give better context to the Halo lore between the two games. Given the result, we imagine that the production of this high-quality cinematic trailer must have taken a lot of time, even if it takes up plans already seen elsewhere.

For the second trailer, this is an extract of gameplay from Halo Infinite dating from 2018, when the title was still in pre-production. Some of you may draw a parallel with God of War and the remark is far from silly since initially Halo Infinite was thought of as a sequence shot game, without any cuts and integrating many cutscenes. This idea only developed during the first stages of reflection was finally abandoned.

Quite interesting trailers that allow you to have an overview of the various ideas that the teams of 343 Industries had about the new opus. It should be noted, however, that all these concepts have never gone beyond the pre-production stage and that they have never been validated by the Microsoft teams. These projects come solely from the internal work provided by the 343 Industries teams, and the same goes for the interface concepts we were talking about on Monday.
