Playtest map and other details leaked

While it’s still unclear when Skate 4 will be released, some details from the playtest have leaked out. You can also take a look at the map of the test version.

Skate 4 has been in development for some time and the recently announced playtest signals that production is moving forward. More details have since emerged.

According to a leak, the playtest takes place on a map called “Fun City”. And this map appears to be a small part of the larger map. The scene should also include some locations from the past, including the community center from “Skate 1”.

Three control systems

Allegedly, “Skate 4” has three types of control systems. Classic, Streamlined and Experienced can be mentioned by name. There are also two camera options, high and low, which can be toggled instantly with the press of a button.

The leaker also emphasized that “Skate 4” will have the ability to customize the character. However, the game is still in development and there are few options for customization such as different shirts and hats.

The characters will apparently also be able to speak in “Skate 4”. But in the playtest they are only able to cheer.

According to the leak, “Skate 4” has a level system that allows players to level up to 100. In addition, players will have their own park, which is essentially useful for training and can be expanded.

Add to that materials and blueprints, which means crafting will also play a role in Skate 4 – assuming of course that today’s information is confirmed.
