Ben & Jerry’s filed a federal lawsuit on Monday to block its New Jersey-based parent company, Unilever, from selling ice cream to an Israeli company planning to distribute the brand in the occupied West Bank. The legendary ice cream company merged 22 years ago with New York-based Conopco Inc., which does business as Unilever and is headquartered in Englewood Cliffs in Bergen County.
