Guangxi: 1,279 townships in 14 districted cities in the region achieved full coverage of 5G signals

IT House reported on July 7 that yesterday, the Information Office of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region held a press conference on the realization of full coverage of 5G networks in cities, counties and towns in Guangxi.

Data shows that the scale of 5G networks in Guangxi continues to increase. The number of 5G base stations opened in the region has grown from 4,439 in 2019 to 50,678 by the end of June 2022, an increase of more than 11 times in number.The 5G network has achieved continuous coverage in the main urban areas of 111 county-level administrative regions, and basic coverage in key areas of township-level administrative regions.

IT Home has learned that the 5G network in rural Guangxi has further expanded its coverage. By the end of June, more than 13,000 5G base stations and nearly 7,500 700M 5G base stations had been built in rural areas.The 5G network has covered 1,279 major townships and 4,446 administrative villages in 14 districts and cities in the region.the 5G network coverage rate of administrative villages reached 30%.

In addition, the “National Mobile Network Quality Monitoring Report” shows that in the first quarter of 2022,The average downlink access rate of Guangxi 5G network is 367.53Mbswhich is better than the national average of 334.98Mbs, ranking ninth in the country.
