Kratos and Atreus return after 4 years of absence for a new adventure in God of War Ragnarok. Developed by Santa Monica Studio, the game is scheduled for November 9, 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
Four years after the events of god of war, Kratos and Atreus continue their epic in the wild lands of the North. If the trust between father and son is now restored, the legacy of Atreus continues to weigh on him. While he wants to protect his family, Loki’s role in the conflict of the Nine Kingdoms obsesses him to the highest degree. For his part, Kratos wants to prevent his son from following a path as bloody as his. Both will then have to choose the path to take, and help each other discover who they can become.
The gameplay of this new title has not changed much compared to its predecessor. However, the mechanics are refined while a new story is told to us. The objective is not to reinvent the wheel, but to propose new challenges to the 2 heroes in order to make them grow. It is therefore once again the story that is at the center of the game, the action-adventure mechanics sublimating the relationship between father and son.
