IT House July 7 news, in September 2021, a month before the official release of Windows 11, Microsoft explained that the new operating system design can make the most of the hardware. At the end of November 2021, Microsoft promised that by 2022, Windows 11 would be faster than it was then.

It doesn’t look like Microsoft is exaggerating, with the latest test data from custom computer and workstation supplier Puget Systems finding that,Windows 11 performance is indeed faster now than it used to be, although Windows 11 doesn’t yet have a clear advantage over Windows 10, the two seem to have a winner and loser in terms of hardware performance.

Matt Bach, Senior Lab Technician at Puget Systems, wrote:

“Last time we compared Windows 11 to Windows 10 for video editing, rendering and game development, we found that Windows 10 was generally able to deliver better performance than Windows 11. However, after the official release of Windows 11, and since Since then, Microsoft has rolled out a slew of updates and a whole new generation of CPUs.

The good news is that we didn’t see many performance issues with Windows 11 this time around, and many of the previously identified issues appear to have been fixed. On the other hand, Windows 11 also doesn’t clearly outperform Windows 10 in most cases.

[..] Overall, there are only a few cases where using one OS has a clear performance advantage over another:

  • Premiere Pro – Windows 10 is slightly faster than Windows 11 in any case, with some noticeable differences.

  • V-Ray CUDA Mode – Windows 11 is consistently about 20% faster than Windows 10.

  • Unreal Engine – Probably a bug in Windows 10, Intel Core i9-12900K shows huge performance boost in Windows 11. “

Puget points out that a bug in Unreal Engine 4.26 appears to be affecting the performance of the Intel Alder Lake-S i9-12900K processor. It’s also possible that the high-performance hybrid architecture of Intel chips is not fully optimized for UE 4.26 on Windows 10, which is one of the factors that makes Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems so different:
